At just 29, Leah is forging an exemplary career as an academic. Fiercely independent and highly articulate, Leah has achieved outstanding success. Not only has she almost completed a PhD

Leah has central vision, but no peripheral or night vision. As she became more independent and ambitious, her low vision was an increasing challenge – until she was matched with the incredible Harlow.

Even though her career and social life were taking off, getting around became very challenging. This bright, courageous 29-year-old had to limit her choices. When Leah went somewhere unfamiliar, or was out at night, she became stressed and disoriented. She was avoiding going out.

When Leah started having to use a white cane almost all the time and felt herself losing confidence, she applied for a Seeing Eye Dog, but then she waited, and waited. After 18 long months, Leah was matched with Harlow.

This incredible Seeing Eye Dog has changed Leah’s life. With Harlow by her side, she can now go anywhere – public transport, her work at University and out with friends!
